Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ & Restaurant Zouthaven| Amsterdam
In Brazil, sharing a meal means spending quality time with friends and family. High time, then, for an event that concentrates on Brazilian cuisine: the Viva Brasil Food Festival! Admission to this part of the Viva Brasil Festival 2016, which takes place in and around the Muziekgebouw aan ’t IJ in Amsterdam on Sunday 26 June, is completely free.
On 26 June, Muziekgebouw aan ’t IJ and Restaurant Zouthaven will take on an entirely Brazilian atmosphere. A variety of Brazilian restaurants, food trucks, regional foodmakers, top chefs and food devotees will be there to make sure you enjoy delicious Brazilian foods and dishes. There will be lively praças (squares) where you can be carried away on the rhythms of live Brazilian bands. The Viva Brasil DJs will be putting on an infectious mix of grooves and folk traditions, from funk to carioca and afrobeat. Sharing food and drink, swapping stories and experiences – in other words, getting together and celebrating life. That’s what it’s all about at the Viva Brasil Food Festival! Bom apetite!
The evening of Sunday 26 June also marks the closing concert of the 2016 Viva Brasil Festival, which will also be held in Muziekgebouw aan ’t IJ – with performances by Vanessa da Mata and Martinho da Vila. Tickets for the concerts can be purchased online.
The Viva Brasil Food Festival is on Sunday 26 June (midday – 11pm). Admission is free.
