Pete and the moon’s brother
Pete is a clown. His life is all about entertaining people, with a laugh and a tear. But one night something changes. The weather is wild, the wind is howling and the clouds spit and bellow. Suddenly something falls out of the sky, right into Pete’s suitcase. He looks up, sees the moon, and understands that he has to go on a journey. A journey to The Country That’s Not On The Map, a country closer to the moon… Pete and the moon’s brother / Piet en het broertje van de maan is an unforgettable journey to a world full of wonder and poetry, inspired by the book Pete the clown and the moon’s brother / Pietje de clown en het broertje van de maan by Tainá Lagoeiro and Marion Hoekveld. Teatro Munganga present Pete’s story using puppets and music within the unique ambiance of the Busganga theatre.
Sunday 26 June • Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ (Palco Busganga)
14h30 / 16h00 / 17h30 (free admission)
The long, gaily-painted Busganga is a theatre on wheels. It might be small for a theatre, but it holds the greatest adventures! Inside, both children and adults are taken on a great journey. Busganga is a city bus that has been converted into a real theatre, complete with a stage, raked seating, theatre lighting, a sound system and proper red theatre curtains. During the Viva Brasil Festival, Teatro Munganga will use this travelling theatre to give both children and adults an unforgettable experience.
